“I have passion for translating my research into useful tools that facilitate decision making.”
Georgina explores the complex and dynamic interactions between natural and human systems, and developing decision support systems that are essential for evaluation of economic, social, and environmental dimensions of development challenges. Prior to coming to NCSU, Georgina completed a master degree in Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering at Michigan State University. Her research integrated socio-economic and ecological models to improve watershed-based management, which is a more holistic and sustainable approach than conventional methods. When not conducting research, she enjoys traveling and music.
